    Hi,

I'm thinking of doing a charity cycle from Dublin to Galway in July but do not currently have a road bike. I'd like to take something out for a few spins before i think of purchasing. Are there any shops, clubs etc that hire road bikes that could be used for a few training runs etc.

As a beginner to the road biking i don't want to commit to it fully until i'm sure that i enjoy it. I'm more than happy to spend money to get the right bike then. In the meantime, i'd rather the 'try before you buy' approach.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

I think that the Specialized importer agency have demonstration bikes, a dealer can advise. You can find your nearest dealer on the Specialized website under 'Find a dealer' tab.

These guys have good rental road bikes: http://thebikehub.ie/contact.html Corratec Dolomitis with either Shimano 105 or Ultegra, should be just what you're looking for.
