    Hi,

Does anybody know if any of the many famous children's books by the above German and Danish authors are translated into Irish yet? If so, where could I purchase them?

    Thanks very much.

Try An Siopa Leabhar, Harcourt Street, Dublin 2.

Irish language translations of works by the Brothers Grimm were published in the 1930's and 40's. These were from "Kinder und Hausmärchen". They would be available in the National Library. It is possible that some bookshops that sell old books might have some. Some of these titles are Na trí cleití, An tÉan Ordha, Cochaillín Dearg and An Cailín gan Lámha.

An Gabhar agus na Meannáin (La Chèvre et les Biquets) was published in 1976 and Amhránaithe Bhremen (Kanterne fra Bremen) was published in 1977. They may still be available from An Siopa Leabhar (01-4783814).

    Dia dhuit,
I've had a quick look on Litriocht (where you find everything that's available as Gaeilge) and there they have 'An Gabhar agus na Meannàin' published by Oifig an tSolàthair BAC
