    Everyone play nice.

Get the 102 from the coast road in Baldoyle - it starts at Sutton station.

You get off just after the Swords Bypass - just ask the driver. If you miss that stop, you can get off at Swords Main Street.

Bus Stop No. 6054 - Malahide Road (Swords), Junction Malahide Road Roundabout

    Route 102 timetable

Probably one of the least direct 23-km routes that doesn't enter the city centre. Overall average speed about 15 km/h (9.5 mph).

I've travelled on this (the 102) a few times recently, and found it very interesting (and potentially profitable) in terms of loading patterns.

The times I have used it, the bus has filled and emptied repeatedly with people making fairly short trips to the traffic objectives on the route - so, for example, filling between the airport and swords, emptying on the main street, filling again between Swords and Malahide, emptying at Malahide village, and filling and emptying again before Sutton. The route seems to make sense for a lot of local links, and then provides the possibility of the longer trip for the smaller number of people who might want to go all the way.

A good orbital, rather than just going from point A to point B, includes lots of traffic objectives along the way, and I think the 102 fills this role admirably.

You mean better than when the current 102 consisted of separate but overlapping routes 102 (Sutton Station-Portmarnock-Malahide) and 230 (Portmarnock-Malahide-Swords-Airport)?

As I've only used it in more recent times (since the merger) I can't provide any personal experience on that one!

Generally, the merger improved things, in particular by providing a consistent service from Malahide to Seabury.
