we bought boru 400i from kings fireplaces before winter last year. with the mild winter last year we only had it lit few hours a day for few months. we noticed that the bricks at the back already has a crack on it. we only used logs and ecologs. is this normal to happen in few months use? would this affect the efficiency of the stove. boru said this is not cover on warranty

I don't know what bricks boru use but most manufacturers are going over to a compressed vermiculite board thats lightweight but is easily damaged by throwing logs.coal in.

I prefer the actual ceramic fire bricks but these can crack too with use.

Either type cracked will not affect the performance of the stove so long as they remain in place. These protect the stove from the heat.
If they are an actual proper heavyweight firebrick you could fill the crack with fire cement if the crack bothered you:)

Ps no manufacturer covers the brick linings.
