1st pic I quite like the framing and it's a pity it wasn't taken in the last few days as you would have had a glorious blue sky rather then the blown out sky u were left with...the pic needs more contrasting to make it pop out more.

2nd pic just look's like a run of the mill snap.

what do you want to acheive from the images?

what result are you looking for?

    they are 2 lovely shots.

The first is great, dont worry about the blown out sky
the image is all about the dog and its expression!
I would clone out the doggie swimming in the background!

the second is just a portrait, nice pose captured !

The 1st one is definitely my favorite. I quite like how it focuses so close to the dog (name?) and gives a nice interesting perspective. The background is interesting and I love the water, the fact the dog is wet makes it more eye catching too.

The 2nd is nice but I think its not as personal as the first. I like the use of natural light and the background looks lovely but I would go for the first one any day. Lovely dogs by the way. :)

Thanks for that I shall try with more contrast.

Number one is my favourite too

Did you shoot in raw by any chance?
if so the sky in the background could be vastly improved
I would also clone out the other dog,its a little distracting.

    Yes I did shoot raw.
What do you suggest I should do with sky?
