In what looks to be a pretty poor renewal, im going to take a chance on La Collina to turn the tables on Homecoming Queen from the English 1000.

To me, HQ relished the soft ground, she simply ran every other horse off their feet that day to win impressively. But to me, horses that love soft ground like HQ does leaves me to doubt that she'll she'll be able to do the same on this faster ground today, and i fancy La Collina @ 5/1 with PP (4/1 everywhere else).

This horse will love the ground, is bound to have come from her seasonal debut in the above race (HQ already had a run), has form that ties in with Maybe(went off fav in the English 1000) and Power (winner of Irish 2000 yesterday) from last season and I think she will take all the beating.

    *now 4/1 with PP

She's worth a chance, on the possibility that Homecoming Queen English Guineas win was a fluke. La Collina finished 5th but the first two were outsiders, without them she would have been 3rd in the Guineas beaten by 1 1/2 lengths. The two in front of her are first and second favourites for the Oaks. You could easily make a very good case for La Collina today on that form.

I think Homecoming Queen is one of those horses like Halfway To Heaven that has just clicked. Don't see her being beaten, if O'Brien thought it was on the cards he'd have thrown in better quality running mates. Maybe he has! Good luck with the bet.

Reminds me of Peeping Fawn. I think Homecoming Queen will win.

I didn't think there was any fluke at all in the guineas win. Follow until beaten. EW saver maybe to cover

Fav hated ground to me, but winner could have been called the winner a long way out.
