Wow! That would have ranked him #7 junior in the world last year. He was ranked #14 in the world and #2 in Europe last year.

    What a talent..
I get scared hoping that this current crop of high class champions we have in youth and junior middle distance won't make it.. We are on a cusp of a big comeback at international level

Awesome run. Hopefully, he'll get A standard. Let's say he doesn't, do you think the AAI, OCI will back down on A rule only and select. I await!!

The B Standard in 2012 is tougher than the A-Standard in Sydney. He's got go. What a talent!

Can't seem to find the 2012 Euroopean Athletic Championship Qualifying Standards for Ireland.

    What is the 800m time?

It is 1:47:80 set for all countries.

I think he'd be better go to Workd juniors than Euro seniors this year? But if he made the Olympics well...
    That's the Olympics!

To be honest if he doesn't get selected for the Olympics then I don't see the point in having a B standard. He fits the bill as he is young and improving so fast.
Best Junior athlete I have ever seen in Ireland.
