Radio wont store stations

    Hey,

I have a problem with a Pioneer radio in a 2001 Citroen Saxo. The radio doesn't seem to be saving stations. I can store stations fine but once the ignition is turned off and on the stations reset. I have read up and people say that to fix the problem it involves crossing wires but it differs when it comes to the car. Does anybody have a solution to this problem?

    Thanks!

I have included a photo if that is any help and also I no longer have the manual from the radio and the cables dont seem to be labeled.

Swap the yellow and red leads.

Op you definitely have the IGN and the POWER leads mixed up.

As a poster above said you normally swap around the Yellow and Red ones. Red is the POWER anyway just find the one called Ignition or IGN and plug that one to it.

So power stays on the whole time storing your stations and the IGN acually tells the radio to power off

Ah it seems I somehow blew the fuse when I was switching the cables the first time, replaced the fuse and switched the yellow with red and it's working fine! Thanks!
