    Folks,

Test drove a Mazda CX-5 in the UK recently

    L0ak-lSAkTuFkq9KBELCK6oJDusZu69ic8Z4-QySVvA

and was impressed by its engine and driving performance for a comapct almost suv....

Spoke to 3 Mazda outlets here and all 3 had different order delivery times if at all.

Has anyone bought/placed an order for a Mazda CX-5 ?

Anyone like to share what delivery times promised by sales people? Anyone believe the order delivery times?

    Lets hear form you then!

Nobody will have these in stock mainly because there is a very small market for one.

I'd imagine there's at least a 16 week lead time on one of these.

Eight on Carzone in Dublin. Launch colour seems to be blue other than the stock brochure shots!

I was told 2 weeks ago that waiting time is 8 weeks

i was in 2 places - n3 - they told me that 2.2 diesel 175bhp is not available until next year, then joe duffy in Finglas told me, that this version is available. ...

Didn't put an order yet - still thinking.

one tip for you - if you decide to go for the "richest option" try to avoid 19" alloys and demand 17" instead - 225/55/19 are very rare and expensive in Ireland. :)

I was told the petrol is not being imported:rolleyes: and the 175bhp maybe! I was told 2 to 6 months delivery which is a joke if they are trying to get market share

And for our friend mentioning the blue ones...they are in for demo's and the blue is the colour featured in all of the ads, nice for the TV but too garish and gaudy for reality though I do expect some folks will buy that colour as there is zippo accounting for taste!

Now if any one has any "real" delivery dates lets know please

Thanks for all of the replies so far:)

If you were told 2 to 6 months lead time by a Mazda dealer.........then that's what it is. He'll sell you on quicker if he can, so there isn't any point in misleading you here.

I'd also imagine we'll never see a petrol one here, unless someone imports from the UK.

Finally, I seriously doubt Mazda are going after market share with this - they're probably only actually advertising it because they have to. It won't sell in this country.

I misunderstand. Do you mean the CX-5 won't sell in this country period? Why would an economical 2.2D SUV not sell in Ireland:confused:?

    That's exactly what I'm saying.

That market isn't fantastic. It'll sell a handfull IMO and thats it.

+1, I would have thought this will sell well - isn't it a Nissan Qashqai competitor:confused:?

It's priced too high to compete with Qashqai.

T.P. Waters just outside Kildare town had some in stock. Saw them a week or two ago. Don't know if they are still there, and I think they are diesel...
