Postal Order

I recently saw pair of headphones on donedeal.ie and the seller insists I pay him by postal order. Unfortunately, I have no clue how a postal order works. Does anyone know how to pay for something using a postal order? Thanks.

Just go into a post office and ask for a postal order, you pay whatever amount you want the postal oder to be + a fee (fee rate info halfway down the page here) - and you post the postal order like a normal letter.

AND get a certificate of postage for the postal order and keep the receipt - just in the event of a crisis you can prove you sent him one. (its free and will have the reipients name and address on it and will be stamped by po.)
