    has anyone downloaded diagnostic software for opels and vw i was just wondering which is the best free software available i have vag com 409-1 it works on my daughters polo but wont work on my sons goli have an opel with management light on if anyone has any info i would greatly appriciate it thanks

    What are the production years and engine sizes?

    golf is 03 1.4 and opel is 01 astra diesel

    You need a buy a CAN interface for the Mk5 golfs (03-09). The software will work fine.

    Don't know anything about opels, sorry.

    Get an op com interface and software, good wee programme, read codes,measuring blocks,output tests etc.
