Hey, as I've bought car last week and ownership was changed, I got new Registration Certificate with details of car etc..
What do I do? Anything except insurance certificate, NCT and this registration cert I don't have any other docs of car.

All you need is your insurance details and the reg cert.
You dont even need the reg cert, but its handy for filling out the details, then head to the motor tax office, fill out a renewal form and pay your money.

What about stuff like: when did tax expire? I have no idea when it last expired, if I ask someone in council could they check and tell me?
Also which city council is this, the one at Dublin 8 or motor tax on other side of dublin? (the one where you get license)

It doesn't mater when it last expired, you are only paying from the 1st of the month you bought it (seen you bought it last week, it would be the first of may).
I'm not from Dublin so i have no idea where that tax office is, but i'm guessing there must be a couple for the size of dublin.

Its not as hard as you are thinking, here is the form you need RF100A you can print out this one or pick one up in the tax office.

    Fill out sections;
    1 - Your details
2 - tax class, just tick private
3 - you NCT number and when it expires, its on your cert
4 - name of your insurance company, policy number and expiry date
    5-7 leave blank
    8 - Sign and date.

    Simple as.

Did this only this week, I basically went to the 'pin retrieval' link on www.motortax.ie and as I was now the registered owner of the car it came up with my details. All I needed as has already been said was my new insurance policy details and it took no more than 3 minutes all told.

Amazing how good these systems are when you want to pay tax.

Can I pay by cash in office? or must be from card?

That renewal form RF100A has a box for the clerk in the motor tax office to tick for the payment type and one of the options is 'Cash'.
