Hi, looking around for a laptop and got feeling the 2nd factor after processor would be screen quality. RAM and hard drive does not play main role and after the screen quality dedicated video card might be important too.

I can see LED backlightning and other features, is anything else to look after? Thanks

well the memory speed is going to depend on the chip set, which also goes along with the graphic card.

so memory and gpu are most certainly £££ for laptops.

for displays, 3d is the most expensive, that or the usual 1080p full hd etc, don't think the displays that were out on the old xps m1730s are out much more with 'better than hd' resolution.

my alien ware m17x r3 has a great display, led full hd, edge to edge, looks the business.

Depends on what you're using it for I suppose.

Personally I check the screen resolutions out first. Anything under 1440x900 I look past, since I just don't like the feel of lower resolutions, after having used a 1080p screen from a 720p one. Then followed by the video card for it's capability of handling higher resolutions, followed by the CPU. RAM's usually neglected because if I'm not happy with it, I could just upgrade it for under 50 quid :3 Same goes for the HDD.
