Best Android Phone For Me

    Hi all,

Hope this is in the right place.

I was looking into getting an iPhone but it seems I'll probably be priced out of it at the current time.

Just wondering what sort of Android phone I'd be able to get with a budget of around €300? I like to use my phone as a media device so the ability to put in an external memory card would be a huge plus.

I've tried to do the research myself but I'm a bit confused with the numerous different types of HTC's etc around.

    Thanks :)

All you want is a phone that you can put an external memory card into and play songs on it? If that's the case then you won't need to spend €300.

If you are looking for the best you can get with €300 but it would need to be able to play songs and take an external memory card then I'd say you should look at the HTC One V or the Sony Ericson Xperia Ray.

Currently have a Blackberry 8520 with a 32GB card, but I'm sick of how slow it is and can't get any decent apps on it either, so it's not just the memory card. Modern, speedy, ability to be used as a media device, decent internet and camera, ability to run modern apps etc is all important.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll check them out :)

Are you looking to buy new? If not then you should look at getting a galaxy SII secondhand

Look into the Xperia Arc S or Xperia Play.

Xperia Play is cheaper than most rivals in the area if your willing to put up with a gaming pad on it if you don't game. If you do game, it comes with a gaming pad :P

Have a good look at the ARC S OP, tis a very decent phone and will be getting ICS very soon. Decent value at this stage too. Fairly pathetic internal memory though, so a microSD card of some sort would be a necessity, they're very cheap at this stage though

If you do change your mind and will consider buying used, no question, get a Galaxy S2
