IwW will be holding a two day training camp this coming June 16th & 17th in Co. Offaly.

There will be only space for 10 trainees so that they can get the most out of their training time.

Training will be from 12 - 6pm each day at the cost of €20 a day or €30 for the entire weekend.

If you are interested please contact internationalwrestlingwarriors@gmail.com to get more details.

IwW trainers & wrestlers have received WWE & TNA tryouts & have wrestled in countries as far away as the US, Canada, Portugal & even Peru! IwW runs around 50 shows a year nationwide so it is a great opportunity not only to train in pro wrestling but also to potentially wrestle on shows across the country! The last Open Day produced Skaterboi Jeebus, Walter Alexander & TJ Meehan & they have had over 70 matches each since they completed their training with Walter Alexander also receiving a TNA Tryout!

Want to become a pro wrestler? Then come train at the promotion that gave WWE Superstars Sheamus, Drew McIntyre and Wade Barrett their start.

IwW can take some time off for spamming the board (as you can see above) with 3 messages today in 10 minutes.

If posts are created simply to bump the thread, there will be bans.

Relax on the rules James will you? It's hardly the end of the world what IwW did. Is this place being run by Hitler?

    Hi,
What happens after the training seminar? Do IWW plan on opening a school locally or is the weekend of training justa once off?

There was a thread made, which if the interest is/was there, it would have been replied to with queries etc. Instead IWW chose to make repeated posts on the same topic. That is against boards rules. As is questioning mod decisions on board :)

That's what I was wondering myself. 2 days isn't enough to get you able to work matches. Plus not everybody who attends this camp might not be able to make it up to Dublin to sign up for their proper wrestling school.

agreed. I have trained with MSW for 2 years (including when they were Northside) and I live in Offaly now.
Im hoping for a school closer to where I am. If it's a case where I'll have to travel to Dublin for shows then i'll just be back to my current siutation. Not enough money to travel to Dublin often.

Travelling to Dublin for a match I'm Ok with. Its the travelling up there for training is where the problem is.

I asked that question on their Facebook page and this is their response.
Hi John, if you impress at the camp we will ask you to continue then time would be spent training at the premises in Offaly and before our shows. So yes there would be training after the camp in Offaly & around Ireland

Lame. I wouldnt waste my money on the chance to "impress" and then have to travel the country to train.

From their response it does sound like they are opening up a facility on Offaly though.

What happened to the IWW school at Baldoyle Industrial Estate?

Am I the only one who finds it sad the way that IWW constantly tries to take credit for Sheamus, Drew MacIntyre & Wade Barrett?

MacIntyre and Barrett only had a few matches in IWW. They were just getting out there trying to get experience. But lets take Sheamus who spent the first 2 years of wrestling in IWW. So IWW gave that "WWE quality" to him?

I know this is all BS by IWW to interest people. You'd get more people interested by putting up Sheamus, Barrent and MacIntyre than three unkown wrestlers.
But arent IWW the same people who at one point put a picture of Sheamus on their show-flyers with a tag of "the home of Sheamus" or there other.

It just comes off as sad IMO.

I'm not a fan of IwW or anything but any small time indy promotion would do the same to try to generate ticket sales.

Sorry for the spamming Mods was a mistake on our part!

Just to try to answer all the lads who have asked questions, the facility in Baldoyle closed down as it was too expensive to run when the recession hit, we train before shows & at the premise in Offaly when we have no shows, it would be preferable to have a full time facility but the way we see it our lads get a chance to learn the basics & also the travel aspects of wrestling, they see how hard it is on our small scale & we find the people who tough it out are a great credit to our roster.

The Sheamus/Drew/Wade link is just to try interest casual fans who may have seen them on WWE but would be reluctant to go see an Irish version of wrestling, it gives our title a bit of legitimacy in the fans eyes when the see that Sheamus & Drew held our Heavyweight Title. We dont make it as much a part of our show/promotion as we use to just something we refer to briefly at the start of each show/in press releases.

Please do not come into this thread to shít on IWW. They're putting on a training camp, so if you're not interested, DON'T POST. Snarky/speculative posts aren't welcome.

Best of luck with the camp guys :)

    Hi all,

Just wondering is anyone on here heading to the IWW training camp this weekend?? If so, have ye made any travel/accomodation plans? I'm hooping to go and am a completely newbie to wrestling and the IWW so would be cool if we could all organize to head down together/get the same accomodation.
