    How long does it take to claim dole if you get fired or leave a job voluntarily?

    You may sign on straight away,however there is usually a waiting period the length of which depends on what office you are signing at.

    Also, depending on why you left your job, or why you were fired, you may have up to 9 disallowance imposed on your claim.
