Loads of Garda cars doing the rounds by the business parks in Loughboy - near Glanbia, BOI, Taxback and State Street.

Any idea what's happening? High-profile surprise visit? Obama? :D

Yeah Enda Kenny was at Taxback.com announcing 30 new jobs. All of the staff had to assemble in the carpark 1.5hours before he arrived, he did not enter the building and was OTT.

That will be one step up from the opening of an envelope then :D

Still, thirty jobs isn't to be sneered at these days.

I'd say it will stick in his craw to be announcing more jobs is a business taking money from his right hand pocket .

You know the country is ****ed when the Taoiseach turns up to announce 30 jobs. 400,000+ on the dole and he's trying to get good press from 30 jobs

If it takes 30 people off the dole (which it probably won't) it would mean over €280000 less government expenditure from the dole alone, not to mention any savings on rent allowance etc. This is more than likely the way forward for the country and if a couple of companies did this around the country the millions in savings would build up fairly quickly

Well , Enda will know that the only business that Taxback.com will get , is from the 00,000 leaving Ireland during a tax year to find a better life in another country .

This is also doing what the above poster suggested and get 30 off the dole every hour .

Thats how FG/Lab are balancing the books

Won't disagree wit ya there, fg/lab running for government was like a dog chasing a bicycle, now that they've got it they don't know what to do with it

So that would explain why i was overtaken on a bend by a high powered merc doin at least 140 on the wrong side of the link road to the motorway with an audi bein driven at a similarly wreckless speed in pursuit. The Garda escort car could barely keep up with them.
