I was going to say Roboclam :D

US authorities under the current Obama administration are set to arm drones with "non lethal weapons".

It sort of wonders did the authorities take a deliberate back seat in the recent riots around the globe including London and let them run their course so that could depict vivid images of carnage and destruction so that the authorities could justify such technology?.

When you give this type of technical power to authorities no doubt it will be abused it. I wonder if they will have them in time for the 2012 Olympics?

"First we were bombarded with the news that 30,000 drones would be spying on us domestically and within weeks the agenda has already moved on to arming the drones with non-lethal weapons"

CBS DC reports that the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in Texas “is considering using rubber bullets and tear gas on its drone.” “It’s simply not appropriate to use any of force, lethal or non-lethal, on a drone,” responded Catherine Crump, staff attorney for the ACLU.

I'm not really sure if I'd be comfortable with something which is completely unseen having the ability to knock me out for not conforming. The next logical step is to arm them with *lethal* weapons, and being in fear of being killed by a drone over unrest is not something I want to be possible.

I wouldn't put a pass on it, they have been long enough at on the battle field so it would be nothing new to them.

it'd have made more sense than "robocop".
US authorities under the current Obama administration are set to arm drones with "non lethal weapons".

The idiom "<group are set to <do something>" means that the <something> is ready to go. That is not the case here.

It sort of wonders did the authorities take a deliberate back seat in the recent riots around the globe including London and let them run their course so that could depict vivid images of carnage and destruction so that the authorities could justify such technology?.

Or there simply aren't enough policemen in London to guard every square foot of it.
Not as sinister, I'll grant you, but grounded in reality.

    No, they won't.
And the sooner the 2012 Olympics come and go without incident the sooner we can abandon this particular meme.

There is plenty of high tech surveylance systems

    No, they won't.

The next three months will tell,

Thats if they don't first try to scare the living lives out of the masses with other methods of false flaggery like their latest so called "body bombs". LOL.

There is plenty of high tech surveylance systems

    That doesn't answer anything though.
"high tech surveylance systems" doesn't translate to police being omnipresent.

A swing and a miss, old boy.

The next three months will tell,

That they will, I fully expect you to be a good sport and admit that you were wrong if it turns out that the Olympics pass without incident?

    Or not....
