JSB, rent allowance and husband working

    Hi all.

I am jumping the gun a bit as my contract doesn't end til December but it is always good to be prepared and it has been playing on my mind.

    First question:

I have worked in my current job since May 2010 and when my contract expires it will be December 2012, am I entitled to JSB? I was a student in college previous to this job so no other stamps (part time cash in hand jobs before college).

    Second question:

If I receive JSB/JSA (subject to my husbands means), are we entitled to rent allowance? My husband works a minimum wage job and would not be able to afford the rent by himself.

    Appreciate your answers :)
