sorry if i posted in wrong location.
my wife was diagnosed with pleurisy yesterday and she is 29 weeks pregnant. im just wondering if anybody had this while they were pregnant. it started out last week and she went the gp on monday morning who said it was a chest infection and put her on augmentin duo. during monday night/tuesday morning she got a really bad pain travelling from her right shoulder down to her rib cage every time she breathes in or coughs.she rang the gp yesterday {tues} who sent to a and e to rule out a blood clot or pleurisy. unfortunetly it was pleurisy.
so because of the pregnancy all she can do is finish out course of antibs and take paracetemol for the pain {which is like putting a band aid on a fractured hand} and hope it clears.
so did anybody have to endure this horrible pain while pregnant and if so how long was it before it passed or at least the pain eased.:confused::confused:
