Total up all your part time hours and see how many months you have worked in all then multiply your months by 1.67.

so total up the hours until i make up a full week is it?

e.g over 2 weeks i worked 23 hours, the the next week i work 16 hours. is that a full week worked,

then i need to find 4 of them 39hours is it?

and what do i do witht the 5 weeks i have worked full time, sorry for all the questions

The 5 weeks will have gotten you 1.67 days already, now just combine all your part time work and see how many months it makes and multiply by 1.67.

Your e.g above would be correct..

And remember there's more than 4 weeks in a month..

There are 3 different ways of calculating your annual leave entitlement:

Based on the employee's working hours during what is called the leave year, which runs from April to March. An employee who has worked at least 1,365 hours in the leave year is entitled to the maximum of 4 weeks' annual leave unless the employment ceases during the leave year. Many employers use the calendar year (January-December) instead of the official leave year to calculate entitlement
By allowing 1/3 of a working week for each calendar month in which the employee has worked at least 117 hours
8% of the hours worked in the leave year, subject to a maximum of 4 weeks
An employee may use whichever of these methods gives the greater entitlement. Generally, the annual leave for part-time workers is calculated using the 3rd method, that is, 8% of hours worked.

If you are now employed full time you may surpass the limit of 1,365 for the full year , and therefore your employers may allow you take 2 weeks holidays .

However , as you can see from quote above , your situation would more than likely be calculated at 8 % of hours worked to date .

For instance , if you have worked 6 weeks @ 39 hours , you entitlement at this stage would be 18.75 hours

year to date i have worked 322hours, inlcuding the full time work what am i entitled to?

if it matters from june 2011- december 2011 i worked 450 hours part time without any holiday pay

You need to talk to your wages office about your 2011 holiday entitlement.

The normal holiday entitlement is 20 days ( sometimes includes 1/2 day Good Friday and 1/2 day Christmas Eve .
    So 20 divided by 12 months = 1.67 days per month .

But as the number of hours vary in your working week , it is most likely to be calculated on a percentage of hours worked .

Holidays run from Jan to Dec. You need to speak to your manager about holiday leave for 2011. You should have used it in 2011 but if not they should allow you to claim it now or be paid for it.

In 2012 you are due 8% of 322 hours which would be about 24 hours.

That depends on the company. Our leave calendar is Oct 1st to 30th September, so leave I took before Christmas came out of this year's amount.

    25.76 hrs actually.

OP the above is the amount of hours you are allowed to take at this moment and be paid for. So no, you will not get paid for 12 days holidays, you will get paid for 25.76 hours leave, plus any other leave you accrue up to the 18th of June. After that you will either be on unpaid leave, or they may allow you to take the extra leave in advance on the strength of your future accumulated leave. Although I doubt they will do this as you are a p/t employee with irregular hours.

Think of it this way - for every hour you work you get just under 5 mins of holiday time built up. For every 12.5 hours, you get paid for one hour off.
