hi guys ,hoping someone with a bit of welding knowledge can help,im a qualified sparks but wouldnt be in the know of welders.basically we have a welder in the workshop, one of the lads said it used to trip out when he tried welding on 230v but would work ok on 400v,

all i can see on the welder is that it says min 40amp,not to sure what this means!

if i was to put it on a dedicated 20 amp mcb with 16 amp commando do you think this would be ok?or would i need a 32 amp mcb and 32 amp commando?

it currently has 13amp plug top on it!

    cheers
    Nick
