Bar the Olympics it has the potential to be one of the best meets of the summer:

    http://www.runnerspace.com/eprofile.php?do=title&title_id=358&event_id=120

Here are just a few highlights from the meet

    110mH
Basically a dry run for the Olympic final (minus Eaton who will be in the decathlon)

    Bowerman mile
Kiprop and Kiplagat go head to head once again after a blistering start to the DL where both men ran sub 3.30 in the season openers. Throw in a strong contingient from the US with Lagat, Lomong, Wheating and Centrowitz who will open his season (was 3rd in Daegu). Even outside these you have the likes of Gebremedhin

    5000m
One of the strongest fields assembled. Bekele and Farah go head to head and has pretty much every medal contender bar Lagat in the fray (running the Bowerman mile. Also includes Cragg for Irish interest

    10000m
The Kenya team are using this as the Olympic Trial race so expect it to be hotly contested

    Womens 1500m
Tizita Bogale (the girl who beat our own Ciara M in the World Juniors 2 years ago) and Bertukan Feyesa will take on a US contingent with Jemma Simpson stepping up from her usual distance as well as Sheila Reid who has been dominant in the US collegiate system over the last year

    Womens High Jump
Great match up here with Chicherova, Freidrich and Chaunte Lowe going head to head on this

    Womens Pole Vault
Bar the absence of Isinbayeva this is a competition of the highest calibre including the surprise package in the indoor season Holly Bleadsdale

Definitely a compeitition to get you into the Olympic Spirit

Would prefer to have seen a few more Brits/Irish. :(

Hopefully they'll have somewhat better weather than last year.

Unfortunately the 10,000m is on on the Friday night so I suspect it may not get any TV coverage over here.

Normallly flotrack will cover this. Dunno whether this is the case this time with many of the top US guys running the 5k

Still you could have the likes of Cam Levins and Chris Derrick (top collegiate 10k runners) aswell as Sam Chelanga lined up so you never know
