    Hey,
Does anyone have any idea what the points for primary teaching will be this year? Are they likely to up or down?
    Thanks for any help.

I heard that the number of applicants is down by 600 so that would drop the points. Could just be bull**** tho

    2010 - 475*
    2009 - 475

    2002 - 440*
    2001 - 430
    2000 - 440*
    1999 - 460
    1998 - 470
    1997 - 470

    Here's Marino's
    2011 - 465*
    2010 - 465*
    2009 - 465*
    2008 - 465*

    And Froebel's:
    2011 - 465*
I can't get the full history as they have changed to NUIM last year .

I'm repeating, got 435 last year, don't mind repeating except for the fact the people from the gaeltacht got teaching with that many points, and i've worked as a chinnire in the gaeltacht!

i think if you get 480/485 you'll be well safe, although i've a feeling it might drop this year as people are saying there's no jobs in teaching these days, but then on the other hand the extra points for maths might mean it'll go up! and a lot of the girls in my year that wanna do teaching are going to hit around 500 i'd say cos they work so hard - why can't i be that way?! :P

thinking of putting Marino first myself, it's meant to be deadly craic and campus is the nicest out of all the others i thought. gonna put Froebel, Pats and then Mary I after :D

    *fingers crossed!*

hard to know with the extra points for maths this year, i'd say it'll stay around the same. I have Marino as my no 1 at the moment but i might swap it around :D
