Eve came out to start the show. She kindly reminded us that Big Johnny was still in charge but he wouldn't be here tonight. She said that Sheamus would have to issue an apology and she would name his opponent for No Way Out.

Alberto Del Rio came out and cut a promo saying he should face Sheamus. Randy Orton came out to a huge pop. He asked the people what they wanted. The people obviously wanted Orton. Kane came out and said he should face Sheamus.

Eve decided to have a Triple Threat match to decide who will face Sheamus at No Way Out.

    1. Christian beat Hunico. Christian won with Killswitch and a frog splash. Decent action back and forth.

Cody Rhodes came out and cut a promo. He spoke about how he restored pride to the Intercontinental Championship. He said he's going to take back what's his in three seconds.

    2. Darren Young and Titus O'Neil defeated The Uso Brothers. Young and O'Neil won ok match. Nothing really special.

An ad showed that Sin Cara will return next Friday on Smackdown.

    3. Ryback destroyed two jobbers. There were Goldberg chants at the beginning of the match.

    4. Santino Marella defeated Ricardo Rodriguez. Why this match happening I don't know. It was a dumb comedy match that you would see at a house show. Santino won with the Cobra. (I hope they edit that out for the show.)

Sheamus came out to a huge pop. He said what happened on Raw was an accident. He said he would like to apologize for Big Johnny being a big horses arse. He then said if he had to choose his opponent for No Way Out it would be Randy Orton.

Excuse Me!!! Vickie Guerrero came out. Huge, huge heat for Vickie. I couldn't make out anything she said.

    5. Sheamus defeated Jack Swagger (w/Vickie Guerrero). Good match. Decent action back and forth. Swagger worked the knee on Sheamus. Jack Swagger is a good wrestler. He just needs a restart. Sheamus won the Brogue Kick.

    6. Damien Sandow squashed Yoshi Tatsu. Not much to say, as Damien owned him.

Big Show came out for a promo. He explained why he made the decision he made. Unlike other people who get fired, he loved his job. He felt betrayed by everyone. A "you sold out" chant broke out. He said he was alone in the world. A "Cena" chant broke out. Basic promo talking about how the fans didn't care about him and he didn't care about them.

    7. Alberto Del Rio defeated Randy Orton and Kane in a Triple Threat match to become the number one contender. Kane made his entrance and was ambushed by Daniel Bryan. Bryan nailed him repeatedly with a chair. Huge "Yes!" chants broke out. Del Rio made his entrance followed by Orton, who tripped on the rope on his way to do the pose. He smiled and did the pose.

Good three way match. Orton looked strong through the whole thing. Kane hit Del Rio with the chokeslam. Bryan came out to distract Kane, who was RKO'd by Orton. Randy went for the cover. Del Rio kicked him out of the ring and got got three count.

    Is Bryan face now?

What was the point of Jericho's attack on Orton on Raw if it wasnt followed up on SD or was it Jericho's swansong he is gone again?

Weirdly it looks like Kane is the face...

So Punk/Bryan is finished already then?!

Have no interest in anything that Kane's involved in.

No Bryan is not face. Kane is playing a tweener role the past few weeks since chokeslamming the Hogan Stooge.

Jericho is part of the RAW tour so couldn't be on Smackdown. He was travelling to Brazil (RAW tour encountered problems here), same as Punk. Punk was only on Smackdown last week as Big Show was fired. Thats why Bryan is involved with Kane and why the AJ thing is still going on.

So is Bryan feuding with Punk and Kane now while still doing the AJ thing?

If Punk can't be there, have Bryan beat someone who won't be involved in the PPV and then cut a promo. No need to get him involved with aside one like Kane.

Also, where does this leave Orton? Surely they won't announce a title match and then change it two months running?

Orton didn't win the match to face Sheamus. Del Rio won. At least I think I did!

I would prefer to see Bryan getting real credibility by having the balls to attack kane than him squashing another random mid carder. He has beaten enough of them the past few weeks/months.

too right, and Kane has never had a problem putting people over. Bryan could make beating him look really good.

I know Del Rio won, I meant what is Orton going to do now that he lost? Isn't Jericho done now? Kane and Bryan are seemingly tied up, Sheamus and Del Rio likewise. Who's left for Orton?

Bryan is supposed to be feuding with Punk. Adding a feud with Kane takes away from that imo. Him beating someone and cutting a promo on Punk (who should be on Smackdown every week he can be btw) to continue the feud instead of forgetting about it until Monday.

I dont know why people think Kane/Bryan are really feuding; Kane has been involved with the two for two weeks now as a side-point to a bigger feud, and Bryan's attack was likely just to get some heat back on him for the Punk feud.

I'm also LOLing at Sheamus vs Del Rio, a match which last month was decided not to be strong enough for a PPV and now they are teasing it again?

Probably get him more cheers and yes chants than heel heat

Jericho is not finished just yet, he is going to feud with Randy.

Punk is part of the RAW brand and they tour so he can't be on Smackdown every week.

I am sure we will get a reminder of the punk bryan feud (the real feud) through commentary or a replay from RAW. Keep Bryans response for RAW.

Meltzer & Alverez say that it IS Bryan vs Punk vs Kane at the PPV.

Meltzer called Bryan vs Punk "A beautiful match. ****½" btw in the newsletter. No sure we would get that at No Way Out. :p

I watched the show but i watched it in bits rather than one go so not sure if it flowed well or not.

I skipped Big Show part but enjoyed the rest of the show.

No Dive match at all and it wasn't missed!

WWE need to do more with Hunico.

Ryback is surprisingly interesting to me, I think he nearly killed Reyes with the powerbomb, so thats a worry.

Sheamus was back to him pre WHC best. Making jokes and kicking heads off, perfect.

DBryan stole the show for me.

Last thing, I guess nobody told Del Rio the Punt was banned!

Sheamus got a great reaction from the crowd which seemed to have him buzzing. He's hopefully growing into his role as the face champion, the crowds generally getting behind him will be important.

It's hard for Sheamus as he's not had a great feud yet. Like Bryan, the crowd reaction was all for Bryan, not Bryan vs Sheamus. Hopefully Sheamo vs Orton will freshen him up, nobody cares to see him vs Del Rio, Mizark or someone like Show. Who else could he face?

it's all just keeping things ticking over til Sheamus Vs Barrett at Summerslam (I think they'll give MITB to Rhodes)
