    Hi there,

A few of us from Drogheda and surrounding areas have been meeting up to discuss the possibility of starting a hacker / makerspace in Drogheda. The aim is to provide a space for a bit of tinkering, making and breaking using open source hardware (e.g Arduino) computers and networking and indeed any aspect of technology old and new.

This Saturday is our first mini "hackathon" at Millmount Centre in Drogheda. People are free to come along and work on projects, join in or to just learn something new. Its a small group at the moment but its early days, and we do not have a permanent space as of yet.

Hopefully this is of interest to people here, so if your living in the Drogheda area and this sparks your interest then get in touch! :) our contact details are at http://hackerspaces.org/wiki/Drogheda

    Cheers,
    Jon
