Broken valve

    Newbie question...

I was pumping up my tyres this morning with a track pump. When I pulled the pump off the valve, the top of the Valve snapped off. Is this a common occurence?

Anyway, now I can't get air in or out of the Tyre. It's pumped to 120psi, I'd like to change this tube, is there a way of deflating it? I don't fancy puncturing it.

    Thanks!

yes , usually cos you bent it at some poibnt in the past, to deflate just geta nail (or something narrow enough to go doen the hole ) and push in the valve, should be able to deflate that way

The value is toast so you may as well use it until you do get a puncture. If you really want to change it you'll have to snip the valve with a pliers or ram something down it to release the air.

Thanks lads, I'll give that a go in the next few days, I want to get the tyre out as it will lose pressure over time.
