Have managed to crack the digitizer but not the LCD screen. Is it hard to disassemble and reassemble ?Would it worth trying to fix it myself with a new digitizer bought off ebay for 20 quid or getting it sent away to get fixed ? Haven't got a quote yet but would imagine it would cost at least €100.

Its a simple 15min job (or if you have done it before about 5 min :D ) i done my fathers, trickiest part is heating the screen to soften the sealant. Just take your time and you will have no problem doing it

There is a guy on adverts.ie who fixes phone screens....I got my Desire HD screen replaced last week from him as it had fallen on tiles and shattered.

20 mins and €80 later and phone all sorted...based up in Swords...dont know how much for galaxy but doubt it will be much more.

Here is the website (not sure if we can put these up here so remove if not allowed)
