    i paid 1.52 for it monday,paid 1.58 for it few days ago though,its getting a bit out of hand

    was in louth on friday and saw Derv for 1.49c and petrol for €1.59 in Ardee

    anyone buying diesel just watch out there is some high sulphur diesel for sale still and its illegal to use it in a tractor on the road.it can be used for grain drying,heating ,generators etc.

    The low sulphur diesel is burning quicker. It is still possible to get high sulphur diesel,

    Yep, thought it was just my imagination at first but now I reckon it's burning around 15% quicker. Nearly might as well use white.

    heard there was a certain H*** chap up around there laundering diesel, he was on Prime time a couple of years ago. All the diesel engine repair lads love him for the extra business

    and for white diesel the country is buying that in for around 16/ 17 cent a liter but as always the government want money so they can go on holidays, people working and government taking nearly half there money away from them just because they want a piece of everyones money

    Too much information my brave man,

    The above comments are wreckless and ill thought.
    The article about this guy in this program had nothing to do with diesel laundering, more about the importation of fuel from the south, quite legally i might add, and the different vat rate on it.
    Thread here is on agri diesel not the export market, which by Endas reckonin is booming......

    Not sure on retail prices but I believe that oil is rising on the markets as investors are seeing a light to the end of lock downs thus increased economic activity.
