Western Union Money Transfer

    Hi. I'm supposed to be transferring money to a company in China. They have given me their details, country, city and name.

    But when I go to pay I can only select country and fill in the name, no city option? Should it still work or is there a chance the money might end being transferred to a person with the same name by accident? The payment goes to a specific person rather than company so I'm worried.

    Hi to receive money the recipient will need ID and the MTCN number you will get when you send the money.

    Not sure what you are buying BUT careful, no reliable website will accept payment by Western Union. If you want post the website and we can check if the website looks real or fake.

    Thanks Nava :) No the site is grand alright, I have friends who received their goods from them, but they weren't available to ask about the payment.

    The City should not make a difference to the payment but when a company asks for payment by WU it seems really dodgy. They get the money straight away and if you never receive the goods there is nothing you can do about it. Hope this idn't the case for you but of you haven't made the payment yet I would look for alternatives

    Only part with small amounts each time ... Be prepared to lose and hope to win .

    If everything is going well , i would advise not to increase payment size , because you could eventually get caught for big bucks
