2nd hand PS3 Problem

    HI guys picked up a 2nd hand PS3 40GB there today on done deal for €30 today and everything works on it br one little problem which is the power button

    Ok i can turn the PS3 on with the power button the one on the front but not off any idea how to fix it i have a silm and no problems what so ever with it

    Not sure how the slim works but the older ones you have to hold the power button down to turn it off. Might help?

    I always turn my PS3 off by holding the PS button on the controller and then select Turn Off Console.

    As Retr0 says, just pressing the power button should switch it off.

    Same as Otacon, I've never used the power button, always the controller.

    Thanks guys just wonted to make sure everything is ok with it any idea where i will pick up a cheap HD for it ?

    Never had a fat one. As my own of 2 years is a 250GB silm

    Same here, like i'm going to walk to the other side of the room to turn the PS3 off, pfff :P
