Help recommending Rehearsal Room PA

Someone's asked me to help them spec out a Vocal PA for a rehearsal room. I'd like to find something that will last a couple of years and sound decent enough to possibly bring to a pub gig. Budget around €1,500 I hope. Any suggestions?

Think ya can get a pair of EV Sx300's for €1000. Maybe find a 2nd hand powered mixer for €500?
