My contour roam just came in the mail yesterday :D

I'm looking for suggestions how/where to mount it. I have a handlebar bag at all times that would block handlebar mounts, and my current helmet I'm only keeping for another 3 months and then ditching it when I move.

wondering if there's a way to like strap it to an arm or shoulder just to test out the video quality and stuff?

how many of you guys use cameras? I got it 'cause I'm bad about taking pictures when I go on beautiful cycles.

could you use some tiewraps to secure it to your helmet?

I have the same camera, and bought the helmet mount and the handlebar mount. The helmet mount is perfectly fine, no problem with that. I do like however to mount it on my bike too, as it gives more of an action cam feel (and riding with a cam on your helmet is fine for a while but gets irritating after that). The handlebar mount wasn't good at all to be honet. The camera had some play when mounted which badly affected quality (see this video http://vimeo.com/36228506/, enter boards for password). And mostly, it eventually broke without any good reason. Now they might have changed the design from the pictures I can see on the website, so maybe it got better. But I'm looking to replace it with one of these as it gives you much more flexibility about where you can mount it (I'd like to mount it on the down tube, or seatpost for example). It also allows non cycling use as it's very versatile.

To test yours, I would just use one the profile mounts that came with your camera (well mine came with two of them anyway). Just clean very well the area where you'll stick it (somewhere on your frame), with methylated spirit for example, and leave it overnight after you stick it, and you should be fine.

i've used the vented helmet mount on my bike helmet and the stick on (technical term:D) mount on my ski helmet, picture has been perfect on both.

want to get a handlebar mount as i also think that it gets a bit annoying on my helmet but a bit worried by the comment above re the bar mount

just ordered the flexi mount, headband mount, and a 32 gig SD card. dang this is getting even more expensive :P

I may spring for the helmet mount later but I wanted something more versatile and I don't always wear helmets (please don't shoot me)

for skiiing I do wear a helmet though, and I'll save one of the sticky mounts for my skiiing helmet. should fit right on the side so.
