dvd playback

    hope this is the right place
    i am trying to burn a dvd for someone, it is in ts format on my hard drive video and audio file , i dragged and dropped onto a blank dvd, when i gave it to the person to play, it wouldn't recognize the disc.
    do i need to change the format

    You need DVD burning software that can read the files in VOB/TS format and burn them to a DVD disc.
    As long as the DVD files are not right protected and are legimately own by you.

    Any of the free ones that come up in google, but the paid ones are better like DVD FAB and Nero suite.

    You may have to use the build option first before burning, I'm not sure if it'll burn TS Folders.

    Just another thing, simply burning a video_ts/audio_ts folder wont make a DVD compatable with most players, Burnt DVD discs will also need to be finalized and burnt using the UDF standard (I Think)
