Playing radio stations in VLC via .m3u and .pls files etc.

I need a Today FM URL to play radio in VLC. The current one I have does not work. Here is it [attached].

Your attached file (once extracted from the ZIP) opened Today FM fine for me in WinAmp, so I'd suggest it's your client that's at fault and not the PLS file.

I used this [file attached] for newstalk but it recently stopped working. Does anyone know of a working link?

The file contents are:
[playlist]
NumberOfEntries=1
File1=http://communicorp.mp3.ams.miisolutions.net:8000/Newstalk_low.m3u

Update: Found one here. It plays but then cuts off after a few seconds.

Is there any way to get the url out of an .m3u file?

I've been looking for a url for 98FM to use with a game that can stream radio in the background, but it needs a link along the lines of "www.98fm.com/listenlive.mp3"
