    Hi

I just discovered the tank attached to my water pump has a leak. It's not the pump itself its the tank attached to it, like this:

    product.photo1.41743.jpg

The brass plate is leaking out through one of the bolts so assume the o ring is perished. Does anyone know much about these things ? Any idea if its an easy replace ? Do I need a plumber or a pump person to fix, or hopefully I can do it myself ? Looking online spares for Speroni pumps are non existent but if its the tank ???

    Thanks

    FBP

For anyone interested :) I went to a shop that specialised in pumps etc and the guy told me most likely the tank has failed. There is a bladder in the tank. The bladder is kept full of water by the pump but the tank needs to be kept under 20lbs of pressure using an air valve. If the pressure is not maintained then the bladder seal leaks and corrodes the tank and you get leaks / fails.

Of course, the plumber never mentioned that so its been 7 years with no pressure checks :)

Ah well, worst case scenario is a new tank which is about 70 Euro.

Sounds like the seals are gone one the propeller housing. Don't see how the vessel would have caused this.
    Do you have a picture?
