Louth scored more apparently. That might explain this mystery, I'm not sure.

Poxy looking goal to give away at the end. Westmeath still had chances to get a draw but the shooting was poor all day

Er, didn't Westmeath win the hurling?
    great win over Antrim

i think it was rte fault and greed came into it

At least we were saved the embarrassment of being whipped by Dublin on live TV, good luck to Louth though. Hopefully we will get a good run in the qualifiers, who knows what will happen?

westmeath out of hurling championship they beat antrim in first round of leinster championship and antrim still in hurling championship looks very unfair to me

Now I know Westmeath have come on leaps and bounds but they are hardly more than minnows in real terms in hurling.
That's the back door system for ya. Back door biffos '98. People have been saying its not fair since then.
That's the way the cookie crumbles.

There's only two things Ireland is good at - breeding horses and hitting a few slaps. Best of luck to John Joe in his remaining fights.

how can his entire family afford to go over and watch the fights?
    when none of them work?

hope he brings back the gold though

What a stupid statement. The man is at the Olympics winning medals for his country and you're trying to stick your nose into his family's private finances.

    Seriously, what an idiotic statement

You do realise that what you are saying can bring legal implications to the board and yourself?

why did John Joe not receive the same sort of support that Katie Taylor got?
    there is an obvious reason.

Well done to John Joe, I was shouting for you no matter what.

I just hope that there is no trouble at the homecoming in Mullingar, because there already was trouble around the town during the week when a few of his fights were being shown.

    Because his opponent was British.
Because many people planned to see Katie before she even got to the final.
