Problem with brand new laptop - doesn't start

    Hi,
    I would really appreciate some help here. I got a new laptop from Harvey Norman today. It's a Fujitsu AH530.
    I haven't been able to start it :confused:
    I switch it on and there's a black screen and a message says SET UP IS STARTING SERVICES. After a few seconds a pop up screen appears which says the following:
    THE COMPUTER RESTARTED UNEXPECTEDLY OR ENCOUNTERED AN UNEXPECTED ERROR. WINDOWS INSTALLATION CANNOT PROCEED. TO INSTALL WINDOWS, CLICK OK TO RESTART THE COMPUTER, AND THEN RESTART THE INSTALLATION

    I hit OK to the message but the same thing happens on and on. The error doesn't go away.
    I'm thinking on bringing the laptop back to the shop tomorow but putting this post in case there's something obvious that can be done

    Take it back to them tomorrow.

    Unplug any usb devices and try again.
    Probably best to just bring it back instead of spending too much time on it, it's brand new, you don't want to spend a few hours reinstalling only for the same issue or taking it apart etc

    Thanks. I'll bring it to the shop in the morning. This is a replacement for my old laptop, which got broken beyond repair while under warranty. No luck with laptops lately...

    I went to the shop and they gave another new laptop. They seemed to know the problem so I guess I'm not the first one who encountered it on this model.

    The fix for this is a reinstall of os and nowadays thats hard as most computers come with no install dvd instead a restore partition and that sometimes has the same problem
