Going it alone....

    Hey all,

    Long story short-boy meets girl, book flights, break up. But I've decided to go anyway, specifically S.E. Asia (Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia). Though that's not to say I'm not daunted by prospect of going it alone.

    I've travelled in Thailand and backpacked elsewhere before a fair bit and know about the hostel scene etc. But I'm a bit older now (28) and wouldn't mind having some travel companionship along the way. BTW, I've 6 weeks booked for July/Aug.

    Is there any recommended sites or means for trying to organise something like this? Apologies if this is very obvious, here is usually my first stop for sound advice :)

    Any advice appreciated, thanks.

    Hi there,

    You should look on www.travbuddy.com. Its a brilliant meet up site. You will more then likely meet someone there.
    I signed up at christmas last year as i didnt like the idea of travelling alone - amd i found someone exactly like me and we bookin our flights next week for a years travel, weve become great mates and its because of travbuddy,
