    Hi,got this letter after an interview in superquinn,am i on a shortlist? or is it a nice way of letting me down,bit confused....

    thank you for attending the recent assessment centre in relation to positions at superquinn
    we were very impressed with your performance and we are delighted to inform you that you have successfully passed this stage of the recruitment process. We will be taking up your references and should a vacancy arise in your preferred store(s) we will consider your application. Please note all offers of employment are subject to two satisfactory references.
    we will be holding your details in file as live for a period of three months. During this time you will be considered for vacancies that match your preferred hours and location.
    in the meantime may we take this opportunity to thank you for your interest in superquinn and to wish you well in the future .

    Is this for a managerial role? I think you might have got on the reserve band if that is the case. Otherwise I'd keep looking for another job.

    Then its definately not good news. Poor form by Superquinn, they should have just told you straight out instead of giving you false hope.

    looks like the interview is a 'screening' stage, and provided they are happy with your performance, then you go 'on file'. If a position comes up within three months in one of the stores you stated a preference, you might get a call and they will 'consider' giving you a position.
