Quick question on car starting troubles

I went to start my 1.8 petrol 2006 Volvo s40 this morning and it gave me the first problem in the 2 years I have owned it. I turn the key and all electronics work fine, no messages on screen but when I go to start it I get a dry turning over sound like its turning over OK but not sparking at all

I didn't get to jump start cause I was late so I just took the wife's car

So since the car has 200,000 kms on it and from what I can tell its the original battery is it just a case of jump start should be fine? What I'm worried about is when I've dealt with flat batteries on other cars they either didn't turn over at all or at least tried to spark up and I've had no other problems with starting this car before

If it was turning over, then I doubt it's the battery to be honest. If it was the battery, you'd expect it to try turn over, it could possibly slowly turn over a couple of times, and then you'd get a loud clicking noise from the starter motor.

Well that doesn't sound great, I'm assuming spark plugs and coil packs are not the issue or at least some of the cylinders would be sparking, possibly its a starter solenoid problem? Although I'm still hoping its a battery problem
