Try media monkey, hear that's decent for music.

Believe it or not I actually used Windows Media Player to rename some of my music collection. Does a decent job of pulling down info from the net and renaming.

It usually gets them too, if not go to Amazon.com, find the album, right click on the image, copy image and paste it into WMP. WMP then adds it to all the files in the folder. You can right click on any album in WMP and either find or update album info.

iTunes is a terrible POS on Windows

I find MP3TAG great for organising music.

+1 for mediaMonkey, it's great for sorting and tagging music. It will also auto search for album art, but I'd be weary of letting it do it automatically as it searches on Amazon and hits can sometimes be a bit off.

One of my favourite features is 'Files to edit' that it shows you albums or tracks that match a certain criteria, so if you want to find all albums that don't have album art, or that don't have an album name in the tag etc, perfect for saving time going through every single album in your collection when you're only interested in sorting out a few specific things.

I have a WD MyBook Live that has Twonky on it and I'm streaming to a WD TV live.

I have a mixbag collection of video. Some of the videos are rips and have ancillary files. Is it recommended to organise these into folders so I can get the metadata organised?
