Drink lots and spend time by the pool.

Go to funny beach in puerto bañus
    Golfing
    Pool in the hotel

Go to benehavis for a steak in the restaurant at the square

The beach in Estepona is lovely. Also, I can second the comment made by matt-dublin about the steak in benehavis - lots of lovely restaurants up there!

Selwo Adventure Park – lot of animals and birds, you get a “safari” ride, and there are amazing views over Gibraltar and Morocco. My kids loved it. There might be buses from Estepona if you don’t get a car. Wouldn't be too far from Estepona.

Also, Rocket Science mentioned Puerto Banus - it is expensive and full of people who love themselves, but it's nice to see all the boats and the sports cars!! There's a nice, inexpensive Pizza place overlooking the port called Picassos, they were great with our kids when we were there.

Are you renting a car? If you are, there are lots of lovely places to drive to - they're not too far (at least, our kids didn't moan too much in the car - they were 1.5 and 3 at the time)!!
2 of the most spectacular towns / villages I have ever visited are Casares and Gaucin (Gaucin is only about a 20 minute drive beyond Casares). The road up into the mountains is very twisty and winding, so if you’re a nervous driver it’s probably not a good idea

    and

Ronda is a nice town up in the mountains with spectacular views...

Gibraltar is interesting – the town itself is nothing special (except for the fact that it’s an English town in Spain!!), but get a taxi up to “The Rock”, enjoy the views and mingle with the monkeys!! You’ll need to bring your passports. You should be able to get a bus from Estepona to Gibraltar.

Enjoy! Hoping to get back over to Spain end of June - we usually go to a town called San Pedro which is about a 10 minute drive from Estepona on the way to Puerto Banus.

Picasso's is still there. Love the place and the pizzas are great!! Great place for people-watching, especially the plebs showing off their sports cars constantly driving around in circles acting all cool!!!

There used to be a lovely Italian restaurant at the marina, I had the best cheesecake I've ever tried there.

i lived there in the 90's , daughter was born there.
went back around 5 years ago and didnt even recognise it , all built up now.
casares is a good shout , ive a fondness for gibraltar , but try to avoid the tour bus and spend some time on the marinas and on the rock.
lunch/dinner in biancas was a regular back in the day.
few nice coves years ago too with small bar , dunno if they are still there or a tourist trap now.
so much to do right along the coast , you will have a great time , bring loads of money though.
in my day i could bring a few packets of smokes across the Gib border and have enough pesetas to eat and drink like a king for a week!!
how times have changed and not all for the better imo

Yeah, definitely Casares. I'm biased, cos I'm living here! Also, there are loads of restaurants on the road up to Casares. Venta Victoria is very child friendly.

Thanks for the tip on Venta Victoria restaurant cailinoBAC!! Heading back to San Pedro with the family on 23rd June and we're planning a day in Casares so will definitely check this place out. Glad to hear it's child-friendly!! We've a 6 year old, a 4 year old and a new baby who'll be about 8 weeks old when we travel!
