    hi

    Hopefully someone can help.

I have an 01 Micra. It hasnt been used in a couple of years and am now getting it ready to sell. The only problem i have is the remote central locking wont work off the remote but all doors unlock with the key. I have changed key fob battery and no joy. I had to replace the cars battery as it was knackered. Was wondering if this has affected the centeal locking.

    any help would be appreciated

Not sure if this covers your model, try it anyway

NISSAN Micra Key Remote Control Programming

The Central Door locking is controlled by the Multi-Remote Control system which controls the door locking, door super locking and hazard reminder. When the doors are locked and unlocked the unit flashes the hazard lights once for lock and twice for unlock.

A maximum of four remote controls are allowed to be programmed.

Ensure all the doors have been unlocked, either by using a good transponder key or remote control plip key.

    1. Turn the ignition switch from Position 0 to ON 6 times within 10 seconds.

    2. Then turn ignition switch to OFF position. Leave key in ignition switch.

    3. After 2 seconds, the system will enter programming mode and will flash the warning lights twice.

    4. Press and HOLD the unlock button on the Plip.

    5. While pressing the unlock button, press the lock button 3 times.

    6. Release the unlock button.

    7. The warning lights will flash once to indicate successful programming.

    8. Repeat procedure 4 to 7 for up to 4 plip key’s.

    9. When completed turn ignition ON, and the warning lights will flash 2 times.

    10. Remove key, and check all plip key’s for operation.

Can anyone help me - have a very similar problem. Battery in key has died - i changed the battery but still no joy - I heard it may need to be programmed but heres the problem - i cant open the car! There is no key hole it only opens with the unlock button. I searched and see on the passenger front door there is a key hole at the bottom of the handle but my key does not fit it. Bought the car second hand last year and this was the only key we were given.

Any ideas on how to get around this appreciated!! Thinking my best bet may be finding someone who is good at breaking into cars!!!

its a nissan micra, 2004, i can see what you are talking about on the passenger door but it wont come off!! there is a small keyhole on the underpart of the handle and i wonder is there a separate key to get this off, in any event i dont have it, was only given one key when we bought the car.

Its not a keyhole, its just a little opening for you to use your current key or similar to pop off the plastic cover. When you pop that off there is a standard key hole behind it.
