    the only down thing I've heard about ANY of Blackstar's amps is that they are made in China.

    but then it was typically xenophobic yanks doing the complaining.....

    Even if the amp isn't made in China the speaker probably is so there's no escaping it really, try as one may.

    All Blackstar amps are made in Korea AFAIK.

    I have an ht1, great for dirty stuff at low volume, but hard to get a nice clean tone that's loud enough (to be expected with such a small amp i suppose).

    Would like the new ht5c, but they seem a bit pricey at the mo.

    Oh, I take it back. It seems that some of the more expensive amps are indeed Korean. Can´t find much about the cheaper one so they could quite possibly be Chinese :)
