ooohhh ...I've found my new "if I ever have a grand just sort of lying around, doing nothing" sort of watch ....

    Now, isn't that a beauty?

It's a sort of re-make of the classic Junghans Bundeswehr issue chrono from the seventies ...well, at least the bezel is. The rest is fashionably angular.
Nicely sized at 42 mm too.

Also available in stainless steel: (slightly less impressive though)

now ...where did I leave that grand?

Are you saying the use the Valjoux or is it their own movement that is a copy of it?

As I understand it, they use the Valjoux, snazz it up a bit and put their own name and logo on it ...like a lot of other watchmakers do.

Ah I see! They mightn't be able to do that much longer if Swatch has their way..

It's styled after the Junghans J88; another one on my wishlist. These were issued in the fifties I believe and came between the Hanhart and the Heuer Bunds. It's a beautiful watch and the remake isn't too bad either; I've not tried one on but I usually go to the watch section of Galeria Kaufhof once a month to drool over them briefly.

Pictures shamelessly stolen from the internet.
