Heavenly customising Ubuntu Desktop - coder?

    I am looking for a coder to Heavenly customize the Ubuntu Desktop environment, loaded with a custom chat application for the workgroup, along with custom coded .rss feeds going to the desktop, would want it pretty locked down.

    Anyone on here, who would be up to the task ?

    Doesn't the default DE have Empathy built in? Just run an XMPP server yourself or something.
