I got my category W learner permit last summer and was wondering what I have to do now to get car learner permit?

Also Im thinking about getting a 1.9 TDI Vw Caddy Van and was wondering roughly how much the insurance will be.

    Any recommended insurers?

    Thanks

You just go a W? How did you manage that, the theory and practical for W are the same as the B, infact I didnt even know you could do just a W:D Try liberty I have always found them cheap for car and motorbike well in my case just after learning it was about €2000(or more) for a 1.4 petrol fiesta.

Presumably the OP was under 17, hence just the W.

Interesting so the OP could drive around in a tractor with a trailer and not a micra?

I did the theory test and then applied for a learner permit for the W category. I was thinking that I should be able to get a policy for 1500?

Could be any work vehicle, and yes, it's nuts.

The only way you'll find out is by RINGING some insurance companies and brokers on Monday, no insurance companies want to touch young drivers, and hence the only quoting systems will generally only offer very poor value or wont quote at all.

No one, here or any where else except the brokers/insurers themselves will be able to tell you how expensive it's going to be.
