BMW E30 Electrical Issues

    Hi,

    My names Ger I'm new to these forums, I just bought a BMW e30 convertible and the the soft top controls & the electric windows don't seem to be working. I checked the fuses under the bonnet & all are fine. I was wondering if anyone could help me narrow the search or maybe had a owners manual. God knows I could use the help

    Not sure how much you would pay for a clean and cared for 325. I paid €4.5k for my E30 a year and a half ago.

    @ Fiona & Jammy - surely you could give better advice that for the OP to go elsewhere???

    @BRFB - did the roof & windows used to work but stopped suddenly or did they never work for you? Check fuse #17 (30Amps) - this governs both the windows and electric roof according to this...

    Well I couldn't give him any advice cos I don't know how to fix his problem but I know plenty of people who can......

    OP could you get your hands on a power probe? If so you could rule out the switch and also send power directly to the motor to see if the issue lies there

    Thanks that's a great one I'll give it a go , it has to be a fuse all the functions couldn't be governed by one motor. I was defo thinking along the lines of a fuse or relay
