Clean out the add-ons in Thunderbird & Firefox

Was accepting an update to Thunderbird (Mozilla free e-mail program) today when it asked me if I wanted to update an add-on I wasn't aware I was running so I allowed it to and then restarted Thunderbird which got me thinking to do an inventory/spring clean of my Mozilla add-ons.

So I clicked on Tools/Add-ons and discovered that my inventory of add-ons was a long list of semi-useful programs which collectively it turns out were strangling the programs, especially Thunderbird which typically took about 30 seconds from startup to even get around checking for new e-mail, now it's all done and dusted in about 5 seconds.

Get the duster out and do a check on the add-ons you're running every time you run Thunderbird or Firefox, you just might be amazed at the effect on performance if you clean out the stuff that you don't need.
